Hello, I’m Tamika, the proud founder of Tamika’s Shifa. I’m a Muslimah originally from Detroit, Michigan, now living in Wisconsin, and my journey into the world of natural skincare began with a personal challenge. After suffering a severe reaction to store-brand soaps and lotions, I was left searching for a safer, more natural alternative. That experience ignited my passion for creating chemical-free, herbal-based skincare products, and for over 15 years, I’ve been dedicated to researching and perfecting natural formulas that truly nourish and heal the skin.

What began as a mission to help my family and friends with safe, effective skincare soon grew into a full-fledged business. After receiving incredible feedback from those I’d shared my homemade soaps and body butters with, my husband and I decided to take a leap and share these products with a wider audience. Tamika’s Shifa was born out of a deep desire to offer holistic, non-toxic skincare that could help others experience the same healing benefits I had discovered.

The name Tamika’s Shifa is deeply meaningful. In Japanese, "Tamika" means "beautiful child," in Swahili, it means "sweet," and in Arabic, "Shifa" translates to "healing." Together, they symbolize my mission to serve humanity with the intention of promoting the use of non-toxic, holistic products for those seeking the right natural skincare solutions.
